Samsung UN46B6000 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV
I have had this TV for over three months now and so far I have been very impressed with it overall. Got it at Best Buy in September (contrary to my experience, I got it even cheaper at Best Buy back then, than it was on Amazon), and am surprised, how so far the price has not dropped yet. Actually it has even crept up a little, right now before Christmas.
The first thing that gets your attention after you get it out of the box, is just how stylish and elegant is looks and how amazingly slim and relatively light (as in "not heavy") it is.

I am not generally an avid TV watcher, however I have given it a pretty good test drive so far, and used it quite a bit, and once again, I am very pleased with the results.

The picture quality is superb... the reason for only four stars is, of course, the not so great audio quality, that everyone else mentions...
but then there is also the issue with the light coming through and bleeding from the edge.
Another reviewer (who gave the TV just one star because of this) mentions this as well, and supposedly this is something common for Samsung TVs. Seems like this becomes more noticeable with time... first couple of weeks I did not see this at all, but now I have been noticing the bright light streak coming from the upper edge of the set. It is not ultra-annoying, and mostly I can live with it, however, especially during the really dark scenes, it becomes noticeable enough and does appear somewhat distracting.

Other than that, I have been very happy with the performance and the quality, and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

love it love it love it!!! - M. Gillespie - Nevada
I think this tv is great, it is the best picture I have ever seen. Blows away the picture on any of the flat screensthat my friends have. Sound is just ok but that is what surround sound is for. I have it in a room that is very bright during the day and have no reflection problems at all. I would recommend this to anyone and would not buy anything else.

Spectacular HD picture, awful speakers - J. Roemer -
The HD picture is stunning, day or night. The speakers are so bad you'll have a very difficult time understanding speech, so plan on getting external speakers. Avoid the companion Samsung sound bar, which may allow you to understand what people say but has poor volume and lousy music reproduction. The only picture-quality issue is blotchy reproduction of large, uniformly-colored images shot indoors (a blue interior wall will shimmer with two slightly different blue hues, for instance). The non-HD picture is inferior to conventional CRT TVs.

Wonderful Picture/Bad Sound - R. Smith - north carolina
This is our first flat screen! After looking at Lcds, the Led had a better crisper picture.Sports are unbeliveable.Sound is lost because of the thin frame. You must have extra speakers.Christmas Holidays brought the price down.we will not have anything less.

I've lived with this TV for a about two months. We have three game consoles attached, incl. the Blu-Ray player as part of the Sony PS3. It is in our family room and is used several hours a day (I'm ashamed to admit).

On the plus side:

Fabulous picture, after some adjusting. There are a zillion adjustments on the TV, so if you spend some time, you can get a wonderful, uniform picture with great contrast and color saturation.

The black matte finish of the screen does away with all but the most severe (i.e., bright) light sources that might reflect from the screen.

Price.

Sharp Aquos brand.

No spotlighting or banding as one person mentioned -- very uniform lighting.

LOTS of inputs. (8 to be exact -- most, but not all are HDMI)

Easy to update firmware when available (did it yesterday).

On the negative side:

The built-in speakers. Way too soft, even on the loudest setting. Since we didn't want to have our stereo system on all the time, I attached an unused set of desktop computer speakers I had lying around the house. Now we have better sound than probably any built in TV speakers. Great solution that I recommend to anyone purchasing this TV. Of course, this is an issue with all flat screen TV's to some extent: tinny sound and lacking in volume, even for everyday use. (Get some computer speakers, preferably like those I have that do not have an on/off switch but switch themselves on/off when there is a signal. Piece of cake.)

All the adjustments you can make to the picture! Well, not a negative, but it takes awhile to find your way around all the adjustments, and Sharp is not good about explaining them. The out-of-the-box setup was not optimal: reds were a little pinkish, the picture was not quite bright enough, etc., but after some tweaking I have a spectacular picture.

When changing channels, there is a "fade effect" between channels that is annoying. I have not been able to figure out how not to get this effect. (There is a "fade effect" in the menu, but disabling it has no effect.)

Summary:

If you haven't seen a full array LED LCD TV, you're in for a treat. Don't let the premium priced Samsung LED LCD's tempt you either, because their LED's are all on the edges. This has a full array behind the screen so that the picture is much brighter (when adjusted) and more uniform. Buy this and get some computer speakers. You will not regret it.

Sharp AQUOS LC32LE700UN 32-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV Overview

With the introduction of the LC32LE700UN, Sharp combines its legendary AQUOS LCD panel technology with a newly developed, proprietary Full Array LED backlight system to create picture quality that is second to none. The LC32LE700UN illustrates Sharp's LCD technology leadership while also demonstrating its LED engineering advantages. Sharp's Ultra Brilliant LED system illuminates the TV to extremely high brightness and contrast levels and enables significant environmental benefits such as longer life expectancy, no heavy metals and lower power consumption. At the same time, the new XGen LCD Panel utilizes an ingeniously devised pixel design that permits more light to pass through even while minimizing light leakage, with the result being the deepest black levels that AQUOS has ever achieved. Overall, the LC32LE700UN shows that with Sharp, it's not just LED… it's AQUOS LED.

Great Tv ! Stunning picture at a great price....... - Stephen Koffman - Jackson,Tn
I bought this Tv as a Christmas present for myself, and have been just blown away by the picture quality. i have it hooked to a Blu-Ray player and cable. I have done some adjustments to the picture to best suit my viewing preferences, but it looked pretty good right out of the box.
I researched several brands and models and thought for the price this was an absolute steal.
I havent seen a tv at this price with a better picture, great for a second set and bedroom tv.

Bought Sight unseen and very happy! - P. Lee - DC area
After seeing the Samsung LED in a store, we decided that we wanted an LED tv. We read the reviews online and decided to go with the Sharp LED instead of the Samsung. It wasn't sold in any store in our area so we had to buy it sight unseen. We are very pleased with the picture quality! We watch it using an antenna and connected to the computer, and the picture is very crisp (I'm shocked at how good it is on Hulu, abc.com, etc). We do notice that we have to adjust the picture brightness when we switch between tv and video inputs. Videos tend to be a little dark without adjusting, but nothing serious enough to complain about.

For us, the sound is just fine, but we may not be the best reviewers for that since we don't focus too much on that aspect of the tv.

There is a slight delay when you change the channels. We're not sure if this is standard for the technology or unique to this tv.

Overall, for our transition from CRT to LED, we're very pleased!

I purchased the 19" Coby TV for a spare bedroom to mainly watch the news in the morning or while working on the computer. I paid 7.00 which include tax and shipping in that cost. I am very pleased in what I received.I know some other reviews had issues with the sound and quickness of turning on. I am very pleased in the TV, since I do not own an expensive high quality large screen TV at this time, there is no need to compare it with our other TV. It works well for us.Thank you

Skip this one - William R. Ogden - NY USA
Audio output is low, even when set to 100%. No codes are available for programming a remote. This is simply unacceptable as practically everyone will use this unit with a cable/satellite box. Simply unacceptable, which is unfortunate because the picture quality is quite good.

THIS IS A TERRIBLE RIP OFF - Thomas A. Melton -
THIS IS A NEW TV????? tHERE WAS A BIG SCRATCH ON THE TOP OF THE SET WHEN I TOOK IT OUT, AND THE PICTURE QUALITY IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I TRIED TO SEND IT BACK AND THEY SAID IT HAQD BEEN TOO LONG.....2 WEEKS IS TOO LONG???? I WILL NEVER BUY FROM HERE AGAIN....BUYER BEWARE!!!!

only lasted 4 months - M. Ryan - Lansing, KS
We bought as a small compact TV for our children's room. 4 1/2 months after purchasing, it died....will not even power on. Usually off-brands are near the same quality but cost less because you do not have to pay for a big name like Sony. But in this case, the lower price = lower quality. What a disappointment.

Sony BRAVIA S-Series KDL-46S5100 46-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV, Black Review

It's amazing how LCD televisions have come down in price. I have a 46" XBR2 that I bought for almost 3x the price of this one around 3 years ago. And the funny thing is this television and my XBR2 have exactly the same specs--46', 60Hz, 1080p. It's amazing.

This television is not 240Hz and it's not LED-backlit. But guess what, it is good enough! I sometimes can't help but feel that TV manufacturers add new features and increase specs so that they can justify an higher price. I think there is a term for this--planned obsolescence.

I mean, you probably would get a slightly better picture going for an new XBR or football will probably look better with 120 or 240Hz. But I really can't tell the difference. And this slight improvement, in my opinion, does not justify the significantly higher price of these upgrades.

Do yourself a favor and go for this model. I mean, today's top of the line models will also look ancient in a couple of years!

Love the set - M. Manly - Sacramento, CA United States
We bought this for the bedroom - just to use as a TV. It is better than we expected. Easy to use. We had it professionally installed and I was able to understand some features about the unit that I didn't know - for example - how to get HD through the TV without going through the cable box. We are very pleased.

Sony Bravia KDL-46S5100 46" 1080p LCD HDTV Black - L. Hansen - Bakersfield, CA USA
Received this TV from the shipping company. The outside shipping vendor was very courteous and delivered this TV inside our home. The setup was a "no brainer". Very easy. The guide to plug in other components was very easy as well. We have 2 other Sony Bravia TVs (32" and 40"). We have always been very satisfied with Sony products and this new TV is no exception. The remote is very easy to use and the screen setup is very user friendly. We have been shopping for this TV for some time and the best price was on Amazon, especially when you consider the free shipping and no tax.

Sharp LC22SB27UT 22-Inch LCD HDTV, Black Review

I'm very happy with my new Sharp. The picture is very nice, it was easy to set up when I received it (didn't even open the manual yet), and the remote control was thoughtfully designed. I just hooked it up to a regular TV antenna bought at the dollar store, and it picked up all the digital channels in my area with no problem.

The only thing I don't like about it is that the sound isn't rich like on my old-fashioned TV. I haven't tried hooking it up to a computer yet, or a DVD player, so can't comment on that. It's a good buy, especially for the price.

good buy for the money - sunshine - florida
Needed a TV for my teenagers room. Very good price and a good picture. Have been using for about a month and everyone is happy with it.

Cannot access WXGA configuration from PC - Hero22c - VA
I used LC-22SB27U TV on a couple laptops, the WXGA modes cannot be activated. I only have 800x600 and 1024x768 choices. Sharp customer service says the video card should take care of this. But why other HDTVs don't have this issue? One of my computer video card is Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset on Dell D620.
