The minute we hooked up the new Panasonic VIERA S1 Series C-L37S1 37-inch 1080p LCD HDTV I was hooked. The true colors, the clarity just blows me away. Everything looks brand new to me again....even the commercials! I am particularly fond of science and travel programs and with this television you feel that you actually are there. I keep asking myself, why did I wait so long to buy a HDTV? Especially since Amazon makes it so easy with a simple ordering system and their ability to keep you in the loop as to availability, shipping updates and their follow-up. I highly recommend this TV. For the price it simply cannot be beat. It's especially nice when paired with a Panasonic Blu-Ray Player. Sound quality is not bad, and an additional component input would have been handy, but for the price I paid (0) I am completely satisfied.

This is a good TV for the price, but has limited features, and the sound quality is poor at best. I have the unit installed in a cabinet, and you have to turn the volume almost all of the way up to hear it. I even tried adding a sound bar, but the one I purchased did not have the optical audio connections, and the TV did not have the connections to use the red/white wires for the sound output. Needless to say, I had to return the sound bar. The only option is to buy a much more expensive sound bar, or hook it up to surround sound.

The picture quality is very good, but the features are limited compared to my Sony I have in the basement family room. If I had it to do over, I would have probably bought another Sony.
